Envisian opens Canberra office and appoints IT industry veteran Steve Mead to lead growth in Federal Government market
Provides local support for existing ACT customers and opens new customer opportunities off the back of 40 percent revenue growth in last FY
MELBOURNE, Australia — September 6, 2012 — Specialist Australian solutions integrator, Envisian, today announced the opening of its Canberra office, along with the appointment of IT industry veteran, Steve Mead, to lead the company’s push into the Federal Government market. Mead’s appointment and the Canberra office opening come off the back of a highly successful FY2011/12 for Envisian with the company experiencing a 40 percent growth in revenue and staff during that period.
In his new role as Client Delivery Executive, Mead will be responsible for developing and growing Envisian’s business in the Federal Government space, as well as in private sector businesses based in the ACT. He will be involved in developing sales and growth strategies, and consulting with customers to illustrate how they can reduce total cost of ownership, reduce business risk and increase agility in the marketplace.
Mead joins Envisian with almost 40 years of industry experience, including more than 20 years in data-storage related roles. He has founded and/or managed a number of specialist reseller and consulting companies and established relationships with the world’s leading data storage companies including NetApp, EMC, HDS, Veritas (now Symantec) and CommVault.
More recently, Mead has held senior sales roles focusing on Federal Government clients with Oracle and Quantum, in which he received several awards to recognise his business and sales achievements.
